The Framework

Four Core Commitments

Every session is anchored to four behavioral commitments that students internalize, practice, and carry beyond the classroom.

Dream Big

Students identify a personal dream, articulate it in writing, and begin forming a future-self identity.

Work Hard

Students select one specific behavioral commitment and sign a Dream Big Promise Pledge Card. Accountability pairs hold them to it.

Be Kind

Students learn that kindness and community support are strategic multipliers for personal achievement — not just social courtesies.

Never Give Up

Students practice the 3R Protocol — Reflect, Reframe, Recommit — as a named, teachable strategy for overcoming setbacks.

Program Delivery

6 Structured Sessions

Delivered in-classroom or via facilitator. Each session includes read-aloud, discussion questions, partner sharing, and a written reflection or pledge activity.

Never Give Up — Session 5

The 3R Protocol

Students are taught a named, teachable strategy for handling setbacks — making resilience a skill, not just a concept.

R
Reflect
Pause and honestly assess what happened without blame.
R
Reframe
Identify what can be learned from the setback.
R
Recommit
Define the next specific action and re-engage with purpose.

The Dream Declaration

The culminating activity of the program — a written, personal essay of commitment that the student keeps. It is the tangible product of all six sessions.

  • States their personal dream clearly
  • Names their behavioral commitment
  • Identifies their support network
  • Applies the 3R Protocol to a past setback
